I had a LAVH due to mass, which was negative. I am almost 5 months post op. When I go to the bathroom to urinate, I now (since the surgery) make a loud noise which sounds like passing gas, only it is not coming from the rectum. This is most embarrassing, as I have to go to the br many times during the day and use a public toilet at work. (I take a bp med. with diuretic) What is causing this and why? I have no control over it, and if I try to stop the flow of urine, my bladder doesn't empty. What can I do? Sometimes it is terribly loud.
