MENORRHAGIA: Discharge - Bloody Mucous?

Hi,

I'm an 18 year old female with PCOS. PCOS has never caused me to show any of the usual symptoms besides irregular periods (3-9 months apart).

My last period was 2 months ago and for the past 7 days, I have been experiencing vaginal discharge in the form of bloody mucous. It isn't a constant flow and it isn't enough to even worry about a tampon. However, when I go to the bathroom I notice that I am wiping away bloody mucous. It isn't like the blood that is expelled when I'm on my period...and it definitely isn't normal discharge. No foul odor...no pain...just bloody mucous. I am not sexually active...not sexually lazy either, I just haven't had sex yet :)

Anybody have any idea as to what the hell is going on? I will go see my gynocologist if the problem persists another 7 days (for a total of 14 days) but am anxious to get some feedback NOW.

Thanks!
