"A new study found that using oral contraceptives substantially reduces
women's risk of getting ovarian cancer: the longer they use them, the
less likely they are to develop the disease, concluded the researchers.
The study is published in the 26th January issue of the The Lancet and
was conducted by Professor Valerie Beral and a large number of
co-researchers and collaborators from the Collaborative Group on
Epidemiological Studies of Ovarian Cancer. Professor Beral is based at
the Cancer Research UK Epidemiology Unit, Oxford University, UK."
