Re: MENORRHAGIA: No period after D and CFrom: Garry Siegel, MD (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 25 Jan 2008 16:14:51 -0600 (CST)
Message posted on Garry Siegel, MD behalf by: Hope, Women’s Health Forum Moderator It is possible that your lack of periods is due to cervical stenosis, or blockage as a result of surgery, though not commonly. Sometimes, simply opening the cervix in the office solves the issue. If your lining is thick and you haven't responded to Prometrium, you have to think about this. It is also possible that you're not hormonally "right" and thus not ovulating and/or having periods. This is unlikely to be stress related. An assessment of your cervix and/or another trial of Prometrium is warranted, and either approach is fine.
