CHRONICPAIN: diagnostic laporoscopy -- can irritable bowel be ruled out

when I get my ablation done he'll be investigating my pelvic pain. by doing a laporoscopy--( the 3 hole thing in the belly) obgyn does not believe it is a gastro. problem but my family physician does. I was wondering when he's in there looking around -- would my obgyn be able to see if my problem is the bowel or can that only be seen with a colonoscopy?

Good news for you folks this is all over for me Feb 1. (I do have to retake the ekg -- the technician read it wrong & stopped my procedure from the first set date)So wish me luck.

Thanks so much for everyones input, I've been refered to 6 doctors so far & you folks here have answered so many questions & I appreciate it.

Thanks
