CONTRACEPTION: LNG IUS - Would it work for me?

I am 23 and in a serious relationship. We were recently discussing contraception and were interested in the LNG IUS. I currently use the vaginal ring for contraception and am happy with it but it would be nice to not worry about insertion and taking it out every month and enjoy the convenience of the LNG IUS.

However, I have read that it is preferable for women who have already had one child. I have never had a child. My boyfriend and I are considering adoption to build our family with the possibility of having one child naturally but perhaps all our children be adopted. So, I did not know if the having one child already was recommended because it hurt fertility for women wanting to have children later or if it was a health risk. Could someone clarify this for me please.

Also what are typical risks with LNG IUS? Would this be a viable option for my situation?
