Hi, I had a tubal ligation, TOT sling, cystocele repair in May 2007. A rectocele w/ graft and an enterocele repair in Semptember 2007. I have had left sided groin pain since surgery number one but to the point of being intolerable since October 2007. My pain gets worse with any kind of activity and with and after intercoure. I had a nerve block in Dec 2007 with no relief... an MRI in December that shows areas of inflammation on the left but no structural problems.... Within the last two weeks I have a permanent numb left leg and cold feet, stress incontinence and also some urge incontinence and on occasion fecal incontinence.... I was given three options by my doctor today... one to do nothing about it, two to do surgery which would involve some areas deep in the pelvis or try sacral nerve stimulation. Sacral nerve stimulation was his preference. My doctor still thinks that there is a nerve trapped somewhere, but since it is only a sensory nerve it would be okay to treat only the symptoms and not the cause.... I am really reluctant to believe that this can work... I am only 36 and I am not sure if it could work for my problem and if I want to commit to having something implanted inside me for the rest of my life, that needs to have a battery change every 8 years.... Any input would be appreciated, thanks caitcon
