I would not recommend this. Actually, you could probably just continue the pills as usual, and instead of the spacer/sugar pills, you could just start a new pack. It is the withdrawal of the synthetic hormones that cause you to bleed. I would discuss this with your gyn provider, however, and they might have some other suggestions. This is the basis for Seasonale,http://www.seasonale.com/ the birth control pill that you can take, and not have a period for three months. I wouldn't want to disrupt the normal cycle that you are already on, and I would be concerned about pregnancy.
