CONTRACEPTION: Bleeding on the PillFrom: Ruby (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 28 Dec 2007 07:44:53 -0600 (CST)
I am in need of some advice from someone who knows what they are talking about... I am on the contraceptive pill Levlen ED, and I occasionally skip my period by moving onto the next pack instead of taking the sugar pills. This has never caused me problems except once when I skipped three periods in a row and I bled anyway, even when taking the hormonal pills. I skipped my last period, which should have started on the 14th of December and finished on the 21st of December. It is now the 28th of December and I am bleeding a little. Its not a lot, but its enough to turn my boyfriend off sex. I am staying with him abroad (where he lives) and I am returning to Australia on the 5th of January, so I really really dont want to have my period before that date! I am wondering, could I have a short period, just to get some of the blood out? Like, take 2 or 3 sugar pills or will that just make it worse? I am really stuck, I cant have my period next week! please help,
-- Ruby
