Re: MENOPAUSE: Thickened endometrial lining.... inducing a period with progesterone?Possibilities? From: Cappy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 18 Dec 2007 20:09:30 -0600 (CST)
Sorry about that. Forum giving me trouble as I tried to change subject line. Here is the update: Yeah, I was about getting to that point myself, I admit. Miraculously, I subsequently did speak to him for like 5 minutes. He said the lining LOOKED thick cuz of the polyp. But since polyp is benign and no hyperplasia, you leave it alone unless it creates problems. (I do have the path report saying it is benign.) I have no idea if that is how most gyns approach this ? I know colon polyps you remove. But he said no reason for d&c now. But not to take estrogen (HRT), which makes sense. I have bone probs (osteoporosis in family and I've got osteopenia) and estrogen helps bones, and I can't take Fosamax (after 3 mos caused bad muscle pain). So now on nothing and asked what to do about that he said nothing for now. Yeah, but I don't see how my bones are going to be getting any better... Any further thoughts? Does this make sense? Thank you.
