ENDOMETRIOSIS: tampons or padsFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 1 Dec 2007 22:15:31 -0600 (CST)
I have endometriosis and have ten laparoscopies to remove the endo and adhesions. I am not currently sexually active, but have decided to go off the depo-provera that I was on for almost five years to treat the enodmetriosis because I am seriously thinking about artificial insemination to get pregnant. This weekend is my first period after going off the depo last May and the cramps are as bad as they were before going on the depo. Anyway, I tried tampons this time and it seems like that made the cramping worse. Is it possible for this to happen? Are pads contraindicated with endometriosis? Why would this increase the pain? Thanks.
