-- Hi Maureen, up until last Janauary my periods were like clockwork. Then in January i got one that lasted 3 weeks. I continued spotting and finally had an ultra sound. It showed a 2" by 1" cyst on my left ovary with solid spots. After the doctor watched it for 3 months for changes I finally decided to have it taken out. During that time I had leg cramps and a cramp in my lower back that wouldnt go away. There was always a pain in my lower left abdomen. After the surgery I found out it was Endometriosis and they needed to remove the ovary. I too wanted to take a Ca125 test but if you read about it, it can give false readings, as in my case, the endometriosis would have made it appear I had cancer. Are you getting regular pap tests?
