ONCOLOGY: Spotting for one day? Periods or not? From: Amandine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 Nov 2007 09:52:35 -0600 (CST)
Hi, I sent a message 3 days ago and would like to thanks the doctor for answering me. After writing my message, one hour later I noticed spotting. Like 2 drops of old blood (brown type, not fresh blood) but since then nothing at all. I took a home pregnancy test last friday which was negative. My "periods" (if they are indeed my periods) were 9 days late. It is my second "periods" since miscarrying in September. What is going on? Would that be considered as my periods even if it was so little I didn't even need protection (it litterally was 2 drops!). Or could I be pregnant and just evacuating some old blood? Would you advise me to take another pregnancy test? We've been atively trying to get pregnant and for my last full pregnancy I also had light spotting the first month when my periods should have been due. I am just completely lost. I phoned the obgyn but he wasn't very helpful at all. I just don't want to go to obgyn ER just for that. Thanks for your help
