THEPILL: The pillFor more information on symptoms and treatment of endometriosis visit www.EndometriosisZONE.org. From: Caitlin (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 19 Nov 2007 14:34:58 -0600 (CST)
Hi. I've been to the doctor about my periods (i'd been having them every 2/3 weeks for 7 days up until the last which was for 3 weeks) and she suggested to go on the pill. I'm worried that this could make it hard to get pregnant when I want to (because my mum took the pill and had this problem). Would that be a hereditary thing? It also has side effects like acne (which i don't want) and i am moody enough as it is. Though I like the idea of having regular and predictable periods and having a form of contraception for when/if i need it. If there is a large chance of the other side effects though i'd rather not tamper with my hormones. Any advice?
