I recently had a blood transfusin because my blood count was so low. While I was in the hospital I informed the Drs about my sometimes heavy periods. The GYN then gave me Seasonique to stop my period for 3 months in order to let blood build back up. I started the pills that day after I got out of the hospital and exactly 1 week later I got my period and I have been bleeding (passing huge clots) and spotting every since. I stopped taking the Seasonique on Friday of last week and the GYN prescribed Progesterone (which stopped everything for maybe 1 day). Sunday evening I had another bleeding episode (even taking the Progesterone). I passed huge clots and since I was not totally prepared it was literally running down my legs. What should I do? I was not having these problems before, my period was heavy sometimes, but it was always like clockwork.
