Caitcon,
It is not possible to know what is causing your problems at this time
but some areas of concern are a possible infection or inflammation
related to the mesh that could be seen on ultrasound or CT scan, There
is a possibility that there is some nerve entrapment near the sling that
is causing groin pain. This can sometimes be treated with an injection
of local anesthesia. It is called ileo-inguinal nerve entrapment and
can occur with slings. It is usually self limited and goes away after a
few months.
Other helpful treatment would be a trial of inti-inflammatory pain
medicine such as Anaprox or Ibuprofen.
