Hello Bethany and William F. von Almen, II, MD, FACOG, I (Ashley) to have a similiar problem. It start off about 3mths ago on my left side in the crease (inner thigh) of my leg and my vagina I had little pimples or so I thought. Scratch them and treated as pimples. It eventually turned in to a irritational rash and blistered a little. It went away and now it is back and has been since about a month. It burns and itches. It has moved from the crease(inner thigh) down toward my buttocks and over towards the center of my vagina. It looks like some of my hair is missing and it had become raw, skin was peeling and even bleeding. It looks like Jock Itch. I went to the doctor and my Obgyn took a swab culture and 4days later stated was just a bacteria. She prescibed me 875mg of Augmentin and it does' t seem to work. I feel like i have a yeast infection now. I have blister on the area where i pee and the only thing that helps is peroxide and over this weekend it felt worse so i started using Lanacane. Don't know if it is safe but it eased the pain. Can you or someone please shed some light on what this could be and if i need to go to a skin therapist.
