INFERTILITY: HSG

I recently had an HSG earlier this month as part of an infertility evaluation. Have one child, now 6. The procedure was fine (during) and the dr. reported everything looked fine with as much as he could see with my uterus and tubes via the radiology, etc. However, after the procedure, I have felt like three knives are piercing 3 spots (uter. and the 2 tubes). My doctors' office just recommends to keep popping 600 mg. of ibuprofen until the pain stops. I can barely function and I can say that actual delivery/childbirth (w/o pain meds) was almost this bad but not as long-lasting!!!

Is this normal? Any feedback is greatly appreciated :)
