Thank you so much for the information. I spoke with my pcp about the CDC website and she said that CDC and other internet sites are going to list all possible adverse effects but she believes that it is safe when administered during the third trimester. She said she believes that the benefits outweigh the risks even though I told her that I am home all the time, have no kids and have limited exposure to the outside world right now. She said she enrolled me in the the CDC Varicella Vaccine Registry. I also spoke with my ob/gyn nurse who basically said the same thing, and that since I am in my third trimester, the baby is not going to be affected by the vaccine. I am going to keep my fingers crossed and change pcp as soon as possible. She was going to be our baby's doctor too but after this incident, I have serious doubts.
