Hi Caroline, I've used boric acid for mild cases of BV with some success. Probiotics have also been helpful in terms of restoring my vaginal flora. I use the probiotics during antibiotic therapy to maintain good flora. Did your doctor discuss antibiotic alternatives to Flagyl for BV if it's recurring? Maybe you would respond better to a different antibiotic? Or what about a broad-spectrum antibiotic approach for the BV? Perhaps someone else can shed light on this. -- Laura
