Without knowing your age and the size of the cyst in cm and whether or not the cyst is "simple" or "complex" it's not possible to give you much of an answer. Generally simple cysts, which are filled with fluid, will go away on their own. We almost always watch them for a few months in premenopausal women. Complex cysts, however, are harder to manage, and gynecologists are more apt to want to remove the cyst or the entire ovary, depending on age and what the cyst looks like during surgery.
