Hello,

I have had ongoing vaginal discomfort for about a month now since I was 8 weeks pregnant. I went to the doctor when I first started having it and the doctor told me I had BV and put me on Flagyl and Macrobid . One week later there were no results! I went back and the doctor and was treated for yeast..and still nothing happened. I went back a week after that and the doctor said I had a green discharge oh and let me let you know that ALL of my cultures throughout this WHOLE time of going have came back negative for ANYTHING! the first culture was looked at under a microscope where the doc said I had BV but when the cultures were sent to the lab they came back negative for all std's, yeast, and BV. So after the green discharge I was treated with Metro gel inserts for one week and continued the diflucan because antibiotics cause yeast to flare up. The metrogel helped for about 2 days then it stayed the same. (In the beginning it was bad now its just mild) I went back to the doctor who then put me on Clindamycin after saying the cultures from when I had a green discharge came back negative and the discharge can be a cause from all my antibiotics combined with pregnancy discharge. Now I'm 13 weeks pregnant still going through this after taking about a months work of antibiotics and the doctor checked yesterday and said that it looks 100% better and did more cultures but said that he thinks its just irritation and nothing more! How can this be possible? Does my doctor know what he's talking about? I don't want this to affect my baby but how possible is it that it can affect the baby if its not even showing up on cultures?? Ive heard from a friend that this can cause late miscarriages and preterm birth but its not even showing up in cultures that I have anything which is SO strange!!!
