That I do understand...but what about a referral out to someone who is able to do so, before undertaking a laparoscopy. My Internist is with Emory, so that may be why she referred me to a Surgical Oncologist, but even a referral to a general surgeon would work.
The biopsy is definitely not comfortable (I think I broke the nurses hand by squeezing it so tightly), however, I'd much rather do a biopsy prior to undergoing a lap.
Just curious.
