Dear Cheryl : I had my norplant left in place for 13 yrs. so I know what you're going through !! You can contact the Norplant foundation @ 703-706-5933 and they will send you a certificate to pay for the removal costs - that's what I did !! I finally had mine removed June 2007 and there was still a lot of the medication in the rods ( I was stunned !! ) You really should get them out - I'm sooooooo glad I did ......I've dropped 25 lbs without even trying , I feel loads better and I think I might even be pregnant already !! I hope this helps :) Stephanie
