Perhaps you could call her and ask her to explain things a bit more.
Sometimes not enough cells are obtained, or the smear was clouded by
inflammation cells. I have found if women have intercourse the day
before a pap that can cause 'inflammation'. Perhaps she repeated the
pap to get a better specimen than the previous one. Usually we wipe the
cervix off before the pap to get a better view. So, there are several
possible explanations.
I also wonder if you had a negative in March, why she would repeat it ?
Pap smears are not a way to diagnose a bladder/urinary tract infection.
Most labs use the same terminology.
