CHRONICPAIN: pelvic pain after c-sectionFrom: leandra (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 25 Oct 2007 11:59:12 -0500 (CDT)
I had a baby 6 months ago, and have been suffering pelvic sicne then. The pain is located exactly at the end of my incision (I had an up/down cut). The pain extends around where my bladder is (suprapubic), and low abdomen. I've been to urologists, OBGYNs, surgeons and tell me they don't know. The only thing that comes back wrong is two umbilical hernias, but they don't associate it with the pain...My c-section was pretty tough, I arrested labor at 8 cm and the baby's head was stuck for 8 hrs in the birth canal until my c-section was ordered. When taking him out, they found him in occiput posterior position, so they applied suprapubic pressure to get the head out. Even that didn't work, the RN had to insert her hand up my vagina to push the head up. I don't know if it could be adhesions or muscle trauma. The pain is more intense whenever I contract my stomach to get up after laying down, sitting and can't stand/walk for a long time. Anyone has any idea what could be wrong!?! Thanks in advance for any help!
