CONTRACEPTION: Why won't I stop bleeding?

Hello everybody... first post and I am feeling a bit shy.

Basically I have been on the depo injection for the past 9 months. I wanted to come off it because I was having mood swings and generally being difficult to live with! I was put on to a projesterone only pill because my BMI was too high for the combined pill (My BMI is 34)

Normally towards the end of my injection I would have a light period, but this time it hasn't stopped. It has been 3 weeks since I started bleeding and it is starting to worry me that it shows no sign of stopping. It is difficult to get time off work to see my doctor, so I was hoping to get some advice.

I don't feel anemic or anything like that, but I do have an allergy to a lot of sanitary products that make me itch so badly.

Any thoughts.
