CHRONICPAIN: Cyst that won't go away

I was wondering how long I should wait out a cyst that won't go away. I have a 6cm cyst on my right ovary that's been there for about 2 months. I already suffer from pelvic pain, so this isn't helping me be comfortable. On the other hand, I just went through surgery in June (laparotomy to remove left ovary glued down by adhesions, half my right ovary due to an edometrioma, and my appendix.) I ended up with a post op infection and spent the next month in and out of the hospital before getting better. My uterus came out 3 years ago (for adenomyosis), just fyi.

I'm 33 and unsure what to do at this point. I'm trying to get a better idea of what to expect when I see my MD again this week. If the cyst should be taken, should I still try to leave the partial ovary, or just take it too since this might happen again?

Any thoughts on this would be appraciated. Thanks, Kris
