Pain associated with urination is most commonly caused by a bladder infection. A microscopic exam of the urine should diagnose this. If it is normal a urine culture could help. If this is negative it could be due to either Interstitial Cystitis (IC) and inflammatory condition of the bladder that needs to be diagnosed by either a urogynecologist or urologist and treated by medication. It is remotely possible that these symptoms could be due to either prior bladder surgery, prior incontinence surgery, or a bladder condition such as polyps or tumors. See a doctor for a speedy diagnosis. Most of these conditions are easily curable.
