GYNECOLOGIC: I have a question about excessive bleeding (2-3 weeks)From: Brandy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 14 Oct 2007 09:13:44 -0500 (CDT)
My daughter is 18 months old, and while I was pregnant with her my doctor dicovered an abnormal pap smear. At my 6 week check up he did a biopsy and another pap smear. The results ended up being I have displaysia (sp), but only the pap smears picked it up, not the biopsies. Still he told me I needed to come in every 4 months for a check up. My question is this: I have my cycle for 2 1/2- 3 weeks a month. I spot and have light bleeding for about a week and a half to two weeks, and when my regular menstral cycle starts I bleed so heavy that I have to use both super tampons and pads, and still can only go about an hour in between bathroom visits otherwise I am bleeding through my clothes. My cramps have become unbearable also. This is a complete change to how my periods were before my daughter and my son, because I have always had "easy" periods. I also cannot take birth control, because they make me sick. Any help?
