My doctors always talk to me before the examination. Maybe that would
be a good time to express your concerns (a list of questions on paper
you create BEFORE the visit), ask questions about the examination this
time (breast exam, pap test, blood work, mammogram schedule), etc? For
the exam a long robe is given which is either open in front or back, and
a paper/cloth coverup for the lower area. At the end of the exam a lot
of times the doctor will let you know when they want to see you
again..next pap test (yearly), etc. Don't be afraid to create
communication (talk) between you and your doctor! I always take my
husband in with me for the examination and dr. talk.
