Re: ENDOMETRIOSIS: Lost on what to do nextFrom: KatieBug (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 4 Oct 2007 10:02:51 -0500 (CDT)
Have you tried acupuncture? I had great relief from pain going to acupuncture and I tried everything - continuous birth control pills, charting my symptoms, NSAIDs, etc. I would strongly recommend trying acupuncture to help relieve the symptoms and balance your body/hormones. I never believed in alternative medicine until I had my own health crisis (not related to endometriosis). But I have seen great results. I have also had a huge change to my cycle and PMS symptoms by adding Flax Seed Oil and eating lentils and ground flaxseed (sprinkle it on your cereal or put it in yogurt). They have lignans which have an anti-estrogenic effect and help balance your cycle. My reproductive endocrinologist also told me to add more fiber and exercise and water to my diet and my suspected endometriosis symptoms have really gone away. HOpe that helps!
