PREGNANCY: MiscarriageFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netMon, 1 Oct 2007 21:16:03 -0500 (CDT)
I miscarried over the weekend and just saw my ob today to be fully checked out. I was pretty upset since I didn't even know that I had had an unintended pregnancy and forgot to ask some questions. I work out very hard with a personal trainer 5 times a week and over the last few weeks had been using diuretics to "drop weight" before I had to weigh in with my personal because I didn't understand why I was slowly gaining weight. I know that it's horrible that I didn't know that I was almost 10 weeks pregnant, especially since looking back, it was painfully obvious in so many ways that I was pregnant. I fear that my unnecessary use of diuretics may have been part of the reason that I miscarried. Is this a possibility? Also, I had asthma as a young child but had not had any trouble with it over the last 16 years and all of a sudden had many issues with it. I found myself using an inhaler at least once a day. Could the pregnancy have caused a fresh round of asthma? If so, will it subside again? My last question has to do with vaginal dryness. I had experienced dryness during intercourse for a few weeks and am wondering if this too was because of the pregnancy. Thanks for any possible answers to this questions.
