There are a lot of different things that can cause your symptoms, including uterine prolapse (a "fallen uterus"), infection, fibroids, scar tissue (adhesions), a swollen tube or ovarian cyst, a tipped uterus (retroverted uterus) or painful vaginal muscles (sometimes called levator ani syndrome). This is one of the most common reasons patients come to the gynecologist, so please don't be afraid to make an appointment with someone to check out what's wrong. There is no need for you to have either pain or bleeding with sexual activity. Good luck.
