Re: PREGNANCY: Lack of pregnancy symptomsFrom: Pat Sonnenstuhl (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 27 Sep 2007 12:02:27 -0500 (CDT)
Not everyone experiences pregnancy symptoms, and women experience different symptoms. So, that is not a concern at all. Many women don't feel symptoms until around 8 weeks, so they could still be coming. It sou8nds like you are experiencing some, so that is a good sign, and just go with that. I personally do feel stress affects a pregnancy. You can overcome this by doing lots of relaxation, visualization, and work on being positive with your baby. I know sometimes this is difficult if you are having preg symptoms, or feeling like you aren't making that contact. Sometimes it takes awhile to realize you really are pregnant, and sometimes not until the baby starts moving and you feel it, or you see the baby on an ultrasound. But, there has been an association of high cortisol levels associated with stress and anxiety, so working on those areas can really be helpful. Excessive stress can trigger preterm labor, which is something you would want to avoid. If a baby is wanted and loved, that can overcome all kinds of stressful events. Babies are very resilient when they feel wanted and loved. Congratulations upon your pregnancy !
