My initial thought is that it might be a polyp, such as we have been
discussing on this forum. It sometimes can have the appearance of a
string. the cervix wouldn't normally tear unless it was from a birth,
and then there would be a lot of blood. Remember the cervix is blood
rich. A tampon is soft and wouldn't cause a cervical tear. I would
call your gyn provider and they can help you with it. It just needs to
be removed, if that is what it is....
