Hi,

First of all thanks for this forum!

I am currently miscarrying our third baby (we have twin daughters aged 4 1/2). I was 11 weeks without my periods but the ultrasound showed a 5-6weeks embryo with no heartbeat. I started bleeding heavily 5 days ago and had another scan 2 days ago which showed that I had passed most of the pregnancy material.

Now bear with me we live in Finland, I don't speak Finnish so it makes it hard sometimes to communicate with the doctors. I saw three different ones every time I had a scan. Anyway we were told to wait 3 months, then another doctor told us that there was no need to wait such long time and just to wait for the bleeding to stop as the embryo stopped developing so early, and finally another one told us to wait for my periods to return.

We're eager to try again. We grieved for this pregnancy before the actual miscarriage happened as we knew 2 weeks beforehand that it wasn't looking good. I'm healthy, I don't smoke, don't do drugs, don't drink alcohol. This miscarriage probably happened because of a virus I caught while working in a Pediatric ward.

If we do try again after my bleeding stops, am I exposing myself to another miscarriage? The doctor who told us to try after bleeding stops told us that there was no increased risks. I looked on medical journals and couldn't find any studies about this.

Thanks a lot
