INFERTILITY: Short periods and recurrent m/c's since TAFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netSun, 16 Sep 2007 07:46:25 -0500 (CDT)
I had a D&C for a TA in Dec. 2005. Ever since then I have had very short, 1 or 2 day, scanty periods. I would classify it as spotting rather than flow. Before the TA, I had what I considered normal periods, usually 5-7 days with 2-3 days of moderate bleeding. Are my 1-2 day periods a sign that the uterine lining was damaged during the TA? I have been TTC for the past 2 years and have had 4 early miscarriages since the TA which has me wondering if the uterine lining is not thick enough, or is scarred or damaged from the procedure. The rest of my cycle is normal, with 4 days of egg-white at mid-cycle and a 15 day luteal phase. Do scant short periods indicate a problem with the endometrium? Are recurrent miscarriages common after abortions? Thanks kindly for your help. Lori
