Over time the slow stream may improve. Using vaginal estrogen may help the tissues become maximally flexible and elastic which may improve the dribbling.

Other strategies: double voiding. Sit down, empty your bladder, stand up and sit 1 more time to empty any residual. This is probably better than cutting the sling as so doing may result in more incontinence. Empty slowly so as not to interrupt to stream, it is healthier to take your time as long as you do not need to contort yourself to empty. Make sure there is not a bladder infection with a urinalysis and culture.

Hope this helps. Amy Rosenman, M.D. Assistant Clinical Professor GYN Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA Santa Monica, California http://www.obgyn.net/meet.asp?page=/all_advisors/A_Rosenman
