I took a gram of Zithromax because I had contracted a bacterial infection from my partner and upon the second dose of 500 mgs I started bleeding even though it is 10 days before I should be getting my period. At first I thought it was just some blood, but today there is heaving bleeding with clots like the first day of my period. I have a large uterine fibroid that has never caused bleeding before. I don't have health insurance, so I don't want to pay to see a doctor just for him to tell me stuff that I have read on the web. When I took Zithromax in the spring I had no such side effect. What could be the problem ? Did the Zithromax just bring on my period earlier and I should just wait a few cycles for this to clear up ?
