GENERAL: Blood in urine- still... Dr. recently found cervical stenosis, could this be related? 2-parrtquestionsFrom: Anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 9 Sep 2007 01:19:48 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, I am really scared because I have had consistant blood in my urine. My last 2 urine tests came out "HEMOGLOBIN,UR,QL MODERATE" (is supposed to be negative) and abnormal SQUAMOUS CELLS COUNT, UR SED, QN 2-5 (range is supposed to be 0-2)Last Friday I had a hyteroscopy (sp?)and laparascopy and my Dr. found my cervix was completely sealed, from what she said was scar tissue. My cervix did NOT appear narrow, the scar tissue was mid-way up the cervical canal. She said she cut me open and dialated me. I asked her if it was cancer and she said definitely was scar tissue. So my question is.. 1) could the complete cervical stenosis have caused the blood in my urine? 2) I am worried about paps for the last 3 years, if I was completely sealed, how did they get a good sampling from inside my cervix? Obviously they didn't get the brush in the cervical canal all the way up there, so is there a possibility my dysplasia couls have returned, and this is what is causing the blood in my urine? Please help, I am really scared... Here is my history, and tests... I haved had pelvic pain the last 4 months, and no periods for 7 years. I was on birth control pills for a long time, and stopped periods after 8 years on them. 3 years ago I had a leep, with High grade dysplasia. They said my margins were clear. Kaiser has done tests to rule out kidney stones, I have had a pelvic CT scan which showed some fluid in my adnexal pelvic cavity (but that was it), office ultrasounds (which didn't show the cervical stenosis at all!), X-rays, Urine tests, I saw a urologist who did the test where they put a camera in your bladder, and a flex-sigmoidoscopy.
