I am a bit confused. YOU are on DEpo, but concerned about fertility. Depo is intended to prevent pregnancy, which I am sure you understand. Sometimes it takes up to two years fro your body to recover from the Depo suppression, so if you are thinking about trying for a pregnancy within the next few years, you might consider stopping the depo now. There is no way to test for fertility while on a birth control method, and it is normal to not have a period while on depo, because of the high levels of hormones. If your cycles were regular when you started the depo, it is likely they will be regular at the point when your cycles get reestablished. If your cycles were longer, or irregular, then many times it takes awhile to reestablish a cycle. If you are concerned about long term fertility, I would consider switching to another method that will give you a feeling of natural cycles and ovulation.

Occasionally there is a pregnancy while on Depo, but generally it is intended to be a very reliable method of birth control.
