Hi bm - - - I have had similar problems as your mom with terrible pain in groin, buttocks, rectum, vagina, legs. I was diagnosed as having pelvic floor dysfunction and I am being treated by a uro/gynecologist. Your mom should look for one. Do you have a large teaching hospital in your area? Tell her to persist and not give up. So far treatments include muscle relaxors and physical therapy. Good luck.
