Message posted on Amy Rosenman, M.D. behalf by: Hope, Women’s Health Forum Moderator Please read THE INCONTINENCE SOLUTION: ANSWERS FOR WOMEN OF ALL AGES. I wrote this book with my co author Bill Parker for just this situation. Essentially the evaluation involves a history and a physical. You will likely have a urine test and possibly a small tube will collect a sample directly from the bladder. Following this you may be prescribed medication, biofeedback, or surgery or a combination of things. If surgery is recommeded, a urodynamic test may be performed. It is painless, involves filling the bladder with sterile water through a small tube while measuring the pressure in the bladder and urethra as well as measuring the rectal pressure. A bladder diary may be recommended as well. It is a painless evaluation with many options for improvement. Best of luck!
