I have been taking Marvelon 28 for 2 years, and have never missed a day of taking the pill. I am a Sunday starter, and my recent pack began on August 5th. On August 19th I went on vacation for one week and due to being rushed I forgot to bring my pills with me. I missed the entire third week of my pills, and had unprotected sex during the week of August 19-26th. I started light breakthrough bleeding on Thursday, August 23. On the 26th when I arrived home I began a new pack of birth control. I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow to discuss these issues. My partner and I recently got back together after a 3 year break-up. When I was with him, we did not use any form of birth control. Our relationship was almost 2 years, and I never once had a pregnancy scare. If I were to test for possible pregnancy how soon would I be able to do this, expecting an accurate result.
