This is a painless diagnostic test where sterile water is placed in the bladder through a tiny painless tube and measurements of pressure are recorded to learn why the bladder leaks and when. You may be asked to tell the tester when you feel the bladder filling, when you need to empty, and you may be asked to push down, and cough. Nothing exotic. It gives a lot of information as to how the bladder is functioning and why it is causing problems. There may be a second painless small tube in the rectum or vagina to measure pressure as well.
