Hi, I was useing Yasmin for only a week and a half and noticed I was suffering from major mood swings. It was totally unbearable. My family was concerned about me thinking I was going through something psychological and it was affecting my work. I was experiencing extreme feelings of anger. I would totally flip out over the smallest things. I was mad at work, mad on the train mad every where even under the happiest cirumstances. And it wasn't just anger it was like full blown rage... lol I know it sound like I was like a maniac. The last straw was one day I was home and mad over the smallest things my child did. All this within 1.5 weeks and I did not make the connection until I decided to look up Yasmin. I saw some reviews complaining about the same thing. I went to my gyn two days ago and he refused to switch my pills. His nurse said it was too soon and if I didn;t like it to stop it but that he wasn't going to prescribe a different brand. I was told to give it 2 cycles that it was probably the sudden surge of hormones affecting me. I was very disappointed with his reaction to say the least. I am a single mother and I don't need to be an angry one. I decided to stop taking the pill that very night and haven't taken it for the past 3 days. AMAZINGLY I am no longer angry. No mood swings NOTHING. Now here some info on me and then my questions. I am 5'4 and 280ilbs no high blood pressure diabetes or any other medical problems aside my weight. I used to use lo ovral about 9 years ago and never had a problem with it, it was wonderful. 1. Now is it possible for it to have affected me so quickly? 2. Why would the Dr. refuse to switch me? Did it have anything to do with my weight? 3. Are mood swings a normal/common side affect of BCP?

Well, thanks for any help anybody can offer.
