PREGNANCY: some symptoms of pregnancy, but five tests say not pregnant.. are they wrong?--PLEASE help!!!From: caitlin (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 9 Aug 2007 08:37:36 -0500 (CDT)
I've been taking Loestrin 24 since February, but I didn't know it was supposed to be taken at the exact same time every day until May. I never missed a pill, just took them within a few hours of when I took them the day before. In May I started setting an alarm so I would remember. My periods always came on schedule even when I wasn't taking them at the right times. The month that i started setting my alarm, my period came when it was supposed also. However the next month, it was very light, no pad or tampon was necessary, and i only started to spot on saturday (i have to start taking the pill again sunday). So I took a pregnancy test to be certain. The test was negative. Since then, I've taken four more tests, one a couple of weeks after the other, because my next period was late also. Tuesday night is when i take the last pill in the pack and my period didn't arrive until Sunday. This time it was definitely more like a regular period and i did use a pad, but i had to start taking my pill again that night. So the reasons i'm concerned are as follows, my abnormal periods, my breasts have increased in size, and i seem to have put on a small amount of weight. i've also been eating more and exercising less though since i've been home from college... and i know bigger breasts and lighter/a change in ones period can be side effects of the pill... so am i being paranoid? or should i trust the five pregnancy tests that say that i'm not pregnant? i would be a little over eight weeks into it by now and the last test i took was yesterday morning. please please please help!
