GENERAL: EndoKnow is just a disguised ad for Lupron!

Hello Everyone,
I mostly post on the Endo forum, but I though everyone should be aware
that the company that manufactures Lupron, (TAP Pharmaceuticals) has
been sued in the past for illegal and unethical marketing practices,
found guilty and had to pay $875 million in fines. TAP Pharmaceuticals
actually runs EndoKnow, masquerading as a help site, when in fact it is
a marketing scheme for Lupron! We are trying to let everyone know as
much info as posssible about this because so many women have gotten so
sick from Lupron. Doctors even go so far as to pressure us to try it
even when we say no. They all try to downplay the terrible side effects
and don't give many patients the warning leaflet it comes with. Before
you let a doctor talk you into trying it, please read the rest of this
post and the article that comes with the link below. You will find it
quite shocking.

I know that this was brought up before in reference to the Lupron
lawsuit for illegal and unethical marketing practices, but has anyone
noticed the banner add for "endoknow" that is commonly displayed on this
forum is actually operated by the pharm company that makes Lupron? One
of my OB/GYN's (who I don't see anymore because of her total uselessness
in helping me) sent me to this site so I could supposedly get more
information about Endo, I was appauled that this site claims to be a
resource on Endo, when in fact all it is, is a site which 1. asks you
to register beforehand 2. has you take a survey that seems to always
conclude the same answer = 3. based on these very dubious results of
the survey, the site then suggests that you talk to your doctor about
Lupron. Excuse me?
I certainly don't begrudge OBGYN.net for the money it makes on
advertising, and personally I am so grateful to have these forums which
I know are partly supported by advertising. However I find myself
constantly wondering if the company that sells Lupron has even cleaned
up it's marketing practices, or just found more subversive ways of
getting in all of our faces. Is anyone else upset by this?
If you didn't read about the lawsuit, which was posted by another forum
member earlier...here's the link:
