Hi I posted a few weeks back with no reply. I will try again, as I am interested in more info. Here is my story, I am 36, two vaginal deliveries 2002 and 2004. I had urinary stress incontinence since the my last birth in 2004. I had TOT sling and cytocele repair May 07. A few weeks after surgery I developed rectocele and enterocele. Rectocele went from stage 1 5 weeks post-op. to now a Stage III. Enterocele has also gotten worse. I tried one pessary size 3 ring w/support which caused more discomfort and urinary leakage. My doctor told me that no pessary would work for me. He also told me that I need to see a specialist since my condition is beyond his abilities...... He said in 25 years of being a doctor he has never seen a young woman progress so fast. I have a strong family history of POP. My grandma lived with this condition for 45 years..... my uncle was just diagnosed w/ POP and will have emergency surgery to restore bladder function next week. His surgeon said that he has only had a handful of men that have ever had POP in his 30 years. My mom also had surgery for cystocele and rectocele in the past. My doctor wants me to have graft/synthetic mesh surgery to fix everything. I want some more info on synthetic mesh before I proceed. I also would like to know if somebody has had good luck w/ other styles of pessaries to relieve some of the symptoms (i.e. pelvic heavyness and rectal pressure) Thanks for any suggestions Caitcon
